The μcar was the only PhD by thesis project from this year’s Royal College of Art graduating class.
Created by Lino Vital García-Verdugo, the μcar is a new urban vehicle solution for the common problems linked to car use in cities.
The electric vehicle introduces a new design strategy that uses technical minimalism as a resource to reinforce urban performance and user acceptance. The flexibility of the 1+1 seat design also fosters the integration of future technologies such as driver-less control and augmented reality.
The result is a new family of vehicles that redefines urban mobility, introducing a qualitative improvement in terms of efficiency and a unique design language.
