Christopher Weil is heading for a new position as exterior design director at Mini, and we wish him well. We’re certain he’ll exceed expectation as he has over the course of his career since starting at BMW, the first job he had following his studies at Germany’s acclaimed Pforzheim University.
Weil is coming from a role at DesignworksUSA, where he was Head of Automotive Design since August 2012. We had a chance to a catch up with him while on a visit to Los Angeles and spoke to him about his career, the benefits of being in California and the projects that take place within the Designworks studio.
