Peugeot has revealed the first project to emerge from new Design Lab venture: the Pleyel Piano.
Rich with expertise resulting from more than 200 years of industrial heritage and 120 years of motor vehicle development, the first achievement of the Peugeot Design Lab has been designed and built to achieve unprecedented musical quality.
Boasting exceptional acoustics, the piano’s major innovation is the lowering of the chord mechanism to line up perfectly with the keyboard. This allows the audience to see the artist play from any viewing angle.
The Peugeot Design Lab is a Global Brand Design studio, the purpose of which is to develop strong and coherent brand strategies specifically to reinforce the identity, values and codes of external customers. Its primary assignment is the design of non-automotive products, services and experiences.
Peugeot Design Lab plays a part in several areas: brand imaging, creation, development, production and communications. With the backing of Peugeot’s Design Center, the Peugeot Design Lab is present on three continents: in Paris, France; Shanghai, China; and Sao Paulo, Brazil.
