Renault and Ross Lovegrove are set to unveil a new concept car that is said to underline Renault’s design strategy at the Triennale di Milano next month.
The concept will likely slot into the recent initiative pioneered by Lauren’s van den Acker since he took over as design director of the French automaker in 2009.
According to Renault, the collaboration with Lovegrove’s studio explores new design languages by examining nature, its systems and energy transactions. Working with contemporary computational design, Lovegrove studio’s intention is to reveal nature’s underlying blueprints and transfer them into a new design language.
The project intends to bring awareness and understanding of natural environments and their current impact on design.
We’ll bring you more details on this concept when we see it in the metal next month.
