Subaru Anorak concept

The Anorak concept was the only vehicle interior thesis project at the 2012 Art Center degree show.

Inspired by exposed rafters and air conditioning ductwork found on ceilings of modern homes, the rugged, compact SUV interior was designed to “show strength from within”, says creator Tazo Osawa.

Designed around the needs of an active target demographic, the minimalistic interior features exposed tubing for the HVAC system running through the simple instrument panel.

Osawa says the layered and corrugated theme allowed for an abundance of storage areas within negative space.
