Founded in 1998 by then 24-year-old Afzal Kahn, Kahn Design is probably best known for its custom work on numerous high-end vehicle models. The company creates bespoke exterior and interior elements for luxury vehicles such as Mercedes, Porsche, Bugatti and, of course, Range Rover.
What started out as a small business creating alloy wheel designs flourished into a full modification business, which suppled custom components to customers. Eventually, in order to cater to a growing customer base wanting to buy complete cars, Kahn began purchasing vehicles and stripping them down in order to rebuild them using custom elements.
Kahn’s ambition to introduce several fashion brands to go alongside his range of automotive lifestyle products finally materialized this year, when the company’s 20-strong design team began designing bespoke timepieces. The watches are then manufactured in Switzerland.
The Vintage Automatic is one of these. Finished in rose gold, the timepiece reflects an approach often associated with the golden age of design. Inspiration for the look was derived from the most iconic images of the past, from buildings to actors and from landscapes to film. The black leather strap contrasts the rose gold housing and cream-colored face to create truly vintage inspired timepiece. The British-designed watch celebrates the exuberance of passion and distinction of unblemished craftsmanship.
