McLaren Automotive is the relative baby in the supercar scene – the company was only formally created in 2011 after McLaren Cars, the original road-legal automotive entity, came out of dormancy and rebooted as a direct competitor to long-established players Ferrari and Lamborghini.
Though the carmaker lacks the pedigree of its rivals (on the road), McLaren Cars did, in its short existence, develop one of the most iconic, unique supercars ever created: the McLaren F1 designed by Gordon Murray and
