Marc Lichte will succeed Wolfgang Egger as head of design at Audi in the new year, according to reports emerging from Germany.
Lichte, currently Volkswagen’s head of exterior design, has been responsible for the design of the Scirocco (featured in the above video), two generations of the stalwart Golf and the recently revealed Design Vision GTI concept. He also led the exterior design of the Volkswagen CrossBlue concept unveiled at the 2013 Detroit auto show.
Egger will take on a new, as yet unspecified, senior design role within Italdesign Guigiaro in Turin, Italy, at the start of next year.
