Chris Bangle on the Design of the Fiat Coupe

The Fiat Coupe has a strong following, something recently illustrated at an event in Turin, Italy, celebrating the car’s 20th anniversary. It’s designer, Chris Bangle, was in attendance, marveling at the more than 140 cars bought to the event.

“When I saw these 140 cars [at the gathering] I was really impressed,” Bangle told Form Trends in an exclusive interview.

The Coupe was a milestone for Fiat design in the 1990s. The company’s products had lost much of the appeal of their predecessors’ and the automaker scrambling to gain back . . .
