Chrysler Portal self-driving concept world debut

Chrysler Portal Concept Design Explained by its Designers

The Chrysler Portal concept — an autonomous, electric van with face and biometric voice recognition — made its debut at the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

“It serves as a social hub where up to six can enjoy, and it’s also designed to accommodate millennials as they begin their transition into family mode,” says Ralph Gilles, FCA’s Head Global Design.

Designed to grow with millennials through their life stages, the Chrysler Portal concept is electric-powered, seats six, and has a number of high-tech sensors that allows it to be classified as a semi-autonomous vehicle.
