Shark Reveals Vancore Helmet

With the riding season now on the horizon, French helmet manufacturer Shark Helmets has revealed a new addition to its extensive 2014 line-up. Called the Vancore, the new helmet follows the path of the RAW urban helmet released by the brand last year.

The Vancore shares the same aerodynamically optimized shell-shape as the RAW, which has been specially designed to fit the shape of the skull, as well as an aggressive attitude. But its individuality comes from the fixed chin bar for riders who seek full-faced protection. Vancore’s urban look is completed with a styled chin bar and quick-release double blade anti-fog and anti-scratch goggles.

Besides the three different glossy and matte color options for the helmet, there are also various color options available for the goggles and lenses.

Inside, the Vancore features natural bamboo fiber, aeration channels and diffusers. It has been designed to accommodate glasses with a hassle free fit thanks to Shark’s Easy Fit System, which enables the glasses to sit in a recessed partition of the interior lining.

Weighing in at 1250g, the Vancore has a pocket for Shark’s Bluetooth communication system (Sharktooth) as well as a large air inlet on the top to ensure good ventilation.
